Thanos, IFFCO join hands to enhance agricultural practices on 10 lakh acres of farmland

  • Date : 29 May, 2024

New Delhi: Thanos Technologies, a leading provider of agricultural drone technology, has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO). The collaboration, announced today, aims to enhance agricultural practices in India.

As part of this partnership, Thanos Technologies will facilitate aerial fertiliser spraying over 1 million acres of farmland across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. This initiative highlights Thanos Technologies’ dedication to making advanced agricultural techniques accessible to farmers nationwide. Over 500 cutting-edge drones will be deployed to ensure efficient and timely fertiliser application, optimizing the fertilisation process, improving crop yields, and reducing resource wastage, the company said.

By joining forces with prominent drone service providers, including Vayu Drone, Aerotics Technologies, and Electra Agri Green, the company is poised to deliver unparalleled value and innovation to the agricultural sector. The economic impact of this project is anticipated to be significant, with a business value of INR 50 crores for Thanos Technologies and the service partners, the drone company informed.

Additionally, Thanos Technologies will offer additional incentives, supplementing the standard spraying service charges collected for every acre sprayed using IFFCO fertilisers. This initiative aims to encourage and reward the participation of service providers in this groundbreaking project. Recognising the need for investment in advanced technology, Thanos Technologies is also developing new financial options to assist corporate service partners interested in owning and operating more than 10 drones. These options will provide the necessary support to scale operations and meet the growing demand, the agriculture technology company said.

Pradeep Palell, Founder & CEO, Thanos Technologies, said, "We are excited to partner with IFFCO and this marks a significant step towards our mission to modernise farming practices, increase crop yields, and promote sustainable agriculture. At Thanos technologies, we aim to create a more efficient, productive, and sustainable agricultural ecosystem for the benefit of farmers and the nation as a whole. Through this partnership, we hope to combine resources, knowledge, and ambition to completely reshape the agricultural landscape of India.”

Furthermore, recognising the need for investment in advanced technologies, Thanos Technologies is developing new financial options to assist corporate service partners interested in owning and operating more than 10 drones. These options will provide the necessary support to scale operations and meet the growing demand.
