Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday praised the Modi government’s efforts to transform the farming sector, highlighting that the farmer budget under the Congress was Rs 22,000 crore, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi increased it to Rs 1,25,000 crore in the last decade.
Speaking at his first public meeting in Haryana ahead of the parliamentary election for 10 seats and an assembly by-election on May 25, Shah emphasized Modi’s special attachment and love for Haryana. Shah stated, PM Modi has always cared for Haryana, even when he was in Gujarat. The Congress allocated Rs 41,000 crore for Haryana’s development over 10 years, but PM Modi has provided Rs 2,70,000 crore.
Shah criticized the Congress for not revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, attributing it to appeasement politics. You re-elected Narendra Modi, and he abolished Article 370. Now our tricolor proudly flies in Kashmir, he said.
Shah also asserted that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir belongs to India and we will take it back. He condemned Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi for not attending the Ram Mandir consecration, suggesting they did so to appease minority voters. Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Chief Minister Nayab Saini, candidates for the Karnal parliamentary seat and assembly by-election respectively, joined Shah at the rally.
